The end of Stranger Things already makes you cry on Netflix.

As fans wait for filming to begin on the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which is expected to start in 2023, the Duffer brothers have already presented a first draft of the script for the final chapters of the series to Netflix executives. And as the creators of the fiction have commented, the producers of the platform have been moved to hear the end of one of the most successful series in its history. "We delivered the first script a couple of weeks ago and we're already on the second. We're going full steam ahead," Ross Duffer said at an event held in Los Angeles on Saturday night, according to The Hollywood Reporter. His brother Matt revealed that few people currently know how the series will end, but that they held a two-hour meeting with Netflix executives presenting the final season by reading the first script. In that intense meeting, the executives could not contain their excitement at the end of the series.

"We got our executives to cry, which I thought was a good sign. The only times I've seen them cry were in budget meetings," the screenwriter joked. For his part, producer Shawn Levy wanted to highlight the importance of good treatment of the most beloved characters in fiction in the last season. "I am paralyzed by the fear of gutting any plot detail, but I have to say that even though the series has become so famous and there is so much about the 80s and the supernatural genre, the key (to the series) is in its iconic characters" , he pointed. Levy has remarked that "the fifth season consciously takes care of those stories of the characters, because they have always been the soul of Stranger Things."

At the event, the series creators and executive producer were joined by actors Caleb McLaughlin (Lucas Sinclair), Joseph Quinn (Eddie Munson), Jamie Campbell Bower (Vecna), Priah Ferguson (Erica Sinclair), Eduardo Franco (Argyle ) and the protagonist Millie Bobby Brown (Once), who was present via videoconference.WHEN WILL THE FINAL SEASON RELEASE?Filming for the final season of Stranger Things will officially begin in the year 2023. Depending on whether filming begins early or late next year, the season five premiere will most likely take place sometime in 2024.

For now, there are no more official details about the production of the new batch of episodes, except that it will most likely have eight chapters that will be released again on Netflix divided into two parts.
