Which actor has been in the most One Chicago episodes? Here are the Top 10 stars who’ve made the most appearances on Chicago Fire, PD, Med and Justice. After introducing you to the actors who didn’t get past their One Chicago debuts, we started to wonder: who’s been in the most One Chicago episodes? We’ve calculated the total appearances of every main cast member from Chicago Fire, Chicago PD, Chicago Med and Chicago Justice across the entire universe, and figured out which of them have been the busiest over the past five seasons. And the results might surprise you, because it’s not necessarily the biggest stars who have had the biggest workload!
Here are the Top 10 actors who’ve appeared in the most One Chicago episodes to date:
7. Sophia Bush – 102 episodes Former Chicago PD star Sophia Bush starts off our list having turned up in more than 100 episodes between the four One Chicago shows.Bush’s character Erin Lindsay appeared in 84 episodes of PD, 11 installments of Chicago Fire, 6 guest spots on Chicago Med and one part of Chicago Justice.
6. Jesse Lee Soffer – 107 episodes
Jesse Lee Soffer edges out his partner, thanks to the fact that Jay Halstead has paid some extra visits to his brother Will at the hospital.Soffer likewise is credited for 84 episodes of Chicago PD, but turned up in 11 episodes of Chicago Med (five more than Bush) and 12 parts of Chicago Fire (one more than Bush). He never got to guest star on Justice, though.
5. Jason Beghe – 108 episodes
Hank Voight may be in charge of the Intelligence Unit but Jason Beghe is nowhere near the top of our list. Even though Beghe is the lead of Chicago PD, his guest appearances have been a little less diverse than some of his colleagues. He’s turned up in 20 episodes of Chicago Fire, but has hardly been seen on Chicago Med (three episodes) and Justice (one episode).
4. Jesse Spencer – 119 episodes
Here’s another surprising name. You’d think that since Jesse Spencer is the co-lead of the longest running show, he’d be one of the most prolific actors in the franchise, but that’s actually not the case.
Spencer has appeared for all 114 episodes of Chicago Fire, of course, but when it’s time for a crossover he doesn’t always get the call. He’s only credited for four episodes of Chicago PD and one episode of Chicago Med, and didn’t make it over to Chicago Justice. Apparently Firehouse 51 is keeping Casey so busy that he doesn’t get out much.
3 (tie). Jon Seda – 123 episodes
It feels like Jon Seda has been everywhere and should win this one by a landslide, right? After all, he’s the only person in One Chicago to be a series regular on two shows (Chicago PD and Chicago Justice). But the fact that Antonio Dawson was written out from PD at midseason, before Justice was on the air, created a gap of screen time that hurts Seda a bit in the final score. The transition time means that Seda has only been credited for 71 episodes of Chicago PD in the past four seasons, though he also picks up 13 installments of Chicago Justice and a whopping 39 guest appearances on Chicago Fire. Surprisingly, Antonio’s never been seen on Chicago Med yet. What’s up with that?
3 (tie). Monica Raymund – 123 episodes
Monica Raymund is tied with her on-screen sibling Jon Seda when it comes to number of One Chicago appearances. Monica’s Gabriela Dawson is a lead in all 114 parts of Chicago Fire, but she has only been billed for seven guest appearances on Chicago PD and two on Chicago Med. Maybe Gabby can visit her brother at the Intelligence Unit more often next season?
2 (tie). Eamonn Walker – 124 episodes
There’s another tie for the second most appearances in the One Chicago universe. Eamonn Walker has been kept pretty busy, thanks to the fact that he’s on the longest-serving series in the whole franchise. Plus, Chief Boden being a supervisor, has stuck his head into other people’s business on occasion.
Eamonn Walker can add eight episodes of Chicago PD plus one guest appearance on both Chicago Med and Chicago Justice to his 114 chapters of Chicago Fire. Boden is definitely racking up some screen time, though not in as many guest appearances as some other folks on this list.
2 (tie). Taylor Kinney – 124 episodes Taylor Kinney has carved out his niche on the other One Chicago series in addition to starring in Chicago Fire. Kelly Severide’s tendency to get himself into trouble has probably helped out here, because Kinney has been on a half-dozen episodes of Chicago PD, up to and including this most recent season. He’s also credited for three installments of Chicago Med and one appearance on Chicago Justice.
Severide has definitely been getting around more than Casey, as Kinney can claim five more episodes than Jesse Spencer. But then again, the last time Severide turned up on PD, it wasn’t for a good reason, so maybe they’re both winners.
1. David Eigenberg – 129 episodes
And the actor who’s appeared in the most One Chicago episodes is David Eigenberg! Did you see that one coming? Yes, Christopher Herrmann is the character in the most demand in our whole franchise, taking his cranky wit to all four One Chicago shows.Eigenberg has appeared in at least three episodes of each series. He’s guest-starred in three episodes of Chicago Justice (which was almost a quarter of the show, since it only had 13 episodes!), as well as three times on Chicago Med (remember when Herrmann was hospitalized?), and six times on Chicago PD. That’s on top of the 114 episodes of Chicago Fire.
That may not be what you expected, but it does make a lot of sense. Since Herrmann is one of the supporting characters, he’s one who is easier to move between shows. He can pop up on Justice to get a cell phone or land himself at Med without bringing Fire to a standstill. Plus, Eigenberg is the master of making just a line or two memorable, so if you need a quick cameo, he’s the perfect one to call. And he’s been getting the call more than anyone else on the team.Who’s your favorite actor to see in the One Chicago universe?
