What Teen Wolf: The Movie is about
In Teen Wolf: The Motion Picture the full moon rises in Beacon Hills and with it emerges a terrifying evil. The wolves howl once more, calling upon the return of banshees, werewolves, hellhounds, kitsune, and every other shapeshifter of the night. But only a werewolf like Scott McCall (Tyler Posey), no longer a teenager but still an alpha, can gather new allies and trusted friends to fight what may be the most powerful and deadly enemy they have ever faced.
The film offers a compelling story which, according to the creator Jeff Davis himself, summarizes what would have happened in a possible seventh season: the first edit lasted over three hours, while the final version lasts about two hours and twenty. The choice of setting the story 15 years in the future with respect to the ending proves to be ideal since the protagonists have obviously grown up, and the Alpha Scott McCall is no longer a teenager but a grown man grappling with new responsibilities and a job very particular: an animal shelter. In the film there is also space for a very emotional reference to the third season of the series, with the return of Scott's true love, Allison Argent (Crystal Reed): the huntress had died in the third season, but her reappearance in the film is wrapped in an aura of… mystery. And between old and new characters, there is a new Teen Wolf: it is the teenager Eli (Vince Mattis), son of none other than Derek (Tyler Hoechlin). A real hothead who still can't control his powers – nor fully accept that he's a werewolf. This adventure will allow him to discover the wolf within himself, taking up the challenge of growing up.
